Dreams, nostalgia and thoughts of how great things used to be will fill your mind today, but before you get too swept up in it all, be sure you're remembering everything correctly -- with your mind, not just your heart. If you're in doubt, spend some time with younger folks who understand what's going on in your life. Experience may be a great teacher, but youthful enthusiasm isn't bad, either.

-Experience is really a great way of learning. Although sometimes, we have to go through this experience more than once just to be able to understand what it means or what it is trying to say.

Speaking of charm, stick-to-itiveness and making changes at work, don't underestimate yourself -- or your coworkers. The powers-that-be are seemingly omnipotent, but they weren't born with your talent for organizing the masses, and they can't run the show without the cast. Keep everyone calm and come up with a battle plan for the future. In one day, you've probably already made some progress in convincing the higher-ups. Imagine what you can all do in a month.

- Believing in yourself is really important. And I believe God lets me live to fullfill my destiny.

I am back

It has been like 2 months since the last time I wrote here. it's been a while. Change of roles on my current job, change of lifestyle, being busy keeping my work. staying focus in life and enjoying it as long as I can. Well, I am back now. So everything will be updated again. God Bless.

There are a lot of different emotions churning around deep inside your heart, but today it's finally going to be easy for you to get a handle on each and every one of them. It's time to do some sorting -- toss out the emotions that are useless, like regret. Focus on your feelings of anger and determination, because those are what will motivate you and help you gain more confidence for what you need to do today. Introspection can create a great deal of strength.

-I am dealing with a lot of brain stress lately. Sometimes I can already feeling in my chest. I can't understand if it is because of hate, anger, anxiety, being worried, being lonely, too much thinking, etc. I know that I have been thinking of what is not really important in this world. I forgot to think about what really matters, eternity. Although what makes me strong is dealing with all this feelings and moving by each one of them. I am getting by Lord, thanks to You.

I am so mad...

I got so angry today because of a situation that seems to go one way. Only one way.
I admit my fault, I chose to correct my mistakes, and this is what I get?
Is this what you get for being good? for changing your ways to follow the path of the Lord?
I know what I did was wrong... but have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately?
Have you been sleeping so well? How much does it hurt that you chose to use your head and now your conscience is killing you? Good luck with that.

Unexpected transportation issues will force you to get a little more creative with your commute than usual, but you're up for it. Maybe you should get a ride from a coworker? This could be the excuse you've been waiting for to get to know them better, anyway. It's important to build personal relationships with professional colleagues. You don't have to be their new best friend, but it would be in your best interest to start showing a softer side of yourself.

My star is quite right about this. I have learned this from someone special, she said "Always smile, because you don't know who might fall in love with your smile", not really sure if that is the exact quote. But after the storm, I was able to smile again. I got my heart and soul back. Everything is back to me. I feel so happy, so alive, so full of energy. I have friends, true friends. And I treasure and respect each and everyone of them. Thanks to all of you, I was able to overcome the dreadful storm in my life.

Checking my star for today..

You are full of determination and you are capable of amazing things right now. No one can tell you differently -- although that is not going to stop them from trying. Some pushy people are planting false doubt in your mind, but you have got to pay them no heed. You know exactly what to do and how to do it, so just listen to your intuition and then act -- once you know what you're doing, of course. Just because you're confident doesn't mean you shouldn't also be prepared

-As everyone have known me, they say that I am the most positive person they know. Things are going quite well for me. After all the storm, I am now pulling myself back together. Thanks to people who were always there for me, some true, some well, maybe they have their own agenda but based from what they see from me. I still smile inspite of everything that happened to my life. I have a friend who saw me when I was all down and miserable, have seen the big difference of me whenever I am not myself. I have the power to make a person smile, the power to motivate everyone and the will to survive. Thanks to you, to all of you. Friends for keeps.

My Star says, Clear out your schedule and set aside your expectations -- this is going to be a fickle kind of day, and you need to be as flexible as possible. It's a day to toss out the rule book and just let things go along their merry way. You won't be disappointed. But if you struggle against the tide of the day and stubbornly try to stick to what you had planned, you'll experience a lot of frustration. Become more passive, and you will learn an awful lot about the world around you.


Bottomline, ok...whatever you say. as long as I am happy. I lay my life for You Lord. :)

John 2:13-25

Since the Passover of the Jews was near,
Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
He found in the temple area those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves,
as well as the money changers seated there.
He made a whip out of cords
and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and oxen,
and spilled the coins of the money changers
and overturned their tables,
and to those who sold doves he said,
"Take these out of here,
and stop making my Father's house a marketplace."
His disciples recalled the words of Scripture,
Zeal for your house will consume me.
At this the Jews answered and said to him,
"What sign can you show us for doing this?"
Jesus answered and said to them,
"Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up."
The Jews said,
"This temple has been under construction for forty-six years,
and you will raise it up in three days?"
But he was speaking about the temple of his body.
Therefore, when he was raised from the dead,
his disciples remembered that he had said this,
and they came to believe the Scripture
and the word Jesus had spoken.

While he was in Jerusalem for the feast of Passover,
many began to believe in his name
when they saw the signs he was doing.
But Jesus would not trust himself to them because he knew them all,
and did not need anyone to testify about human nature.
He himself understood it well.

- The reflection that the mass had was how people hate riddles, it makes people look dumb for not getting the right answer. In our present life, we tend to try and understand a lot of things, especially things that are happening in our life, "why did this happen?" "what is the meaning of these trials?", and so on.. But in the end, we tend to try and understand everything, although we tend to go towards believing what is the best for us. What our mind says and not what our heart's beat. In this Gospel, Jesus said "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up." The only time that the Disciples understand this is when Jesus rose from the dead after 3 days. But did not understand it during the passover.

In our lives, we should not try so hard to understand things. Sometimes, thinking so hard makes us go the wrong way. It should always be what our heart says. We should not try to understand what God wants us to do but rather just follow it. Unlike when Eve decided to go over the forbidden tree to check why God forbids them to eat the fruit of the tree. She got lost! They were banished from the garden for not following His words, His commandments.

For me, I would rather follow what my heart says, and I know that in my heart, God commands and I obey. I love you Lord God Almighty. Behold, your humble servant, ready to follow your orders. Amen.

Preparing for the Storms of Life

After a storm has hit …



1. Natural temptation: Give up and go back to old ways

John 21:3 "I'm going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, and they said, "We'll go with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.



Proper response: Remain faithful and wait for God’s deliverance

Ps 37:34 Wait for the LORD and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you will see it.

Ps 130:5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.



2. Natural temptation: Escape or drown sorrows

Jonah 1:3 But Jonah ran away from the LORD and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the LORD.

Isa 55:1 "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. 2 Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.


Proper response: Remain faithful to duties, and burrow deep into God for security

Ps 62:1 For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David. My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken … 5 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.



3. Natural temptation: Anxiety, fret, fear, and worry

2 Ki 6:14 Then he sent horses and chariots and a strong force there. They went by night and surrounded the city. 15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. "Oh, my lord, what shall we do?" the servant asked. 16 "Don't be afraid," the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." 17 And Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open his eyes so he may see." Then the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.



Proper response: Trust God and enjoy the peace which passes understanding

Phil 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.



4. Natural temptation: Anger, resentment, and vengeance

Gen 34:1 Now Dinah, the daughter Leah had borne to Jacob, went out to visit the women of the land. 2 When Shechem son of Hamor the Hivite, the ruler of that area, saw her, he took her and violated her … 25 Three days later, while all of them were still in pain, two of Jacob's sons, Simeon and Levi, Dinah's brothers, took their swords and attacked the unsuspecting city, killing every male.



Proper response: Give out the mercy the Lord has given you

Eph 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.



5. Natural temptation: Grumble against life or God

Num 11:4 The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, "If only we had meat to eat! 5 We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost--also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. 6 But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!"



Job 10:1 "I loathe my very life; therefore I will give free rein to my complaint and speak out in the bitterness of my soul. 2 I will say to God: Do not condemn me, but tell me what charges you have against me. 3 Does it please you to oppress me, to spurn the work of your hands, while you smile on the schemes of the wicked?



Proper response: Accept the limited storm as from the Sovereign hand of the loving God

Job 1:21 and said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised." (Also Phil 2:14-15)



1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. (Also Rom 8:28; Jam 1:2-4)



6. Natural temptation: Self-pity and self-exemption

Job 19:21 "Have pity on me, my friends, have pity, for the hand of God has struck me.



Proper response: Repent of self-pity as a sin, and do what is right

Job 42:5 My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. 6 Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes."



7. Natural temptation: Self-reliance

John 18:10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant's name was Malchus.) 11 Jesus commanded Peter, "Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?"



Proper response: Choose to look only to God

Ps 9:10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.



Ps 118:8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.



8. Natural temptation: Consumed with guilt and shame

Mat 27:5 So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.



Proper response: Remember the Truth – Jesus’ death covered all your sins

1 Pet 3:18 For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God …



9. Natural temptation: Survive, endure

Mat 25:15 To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey … 18 But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.



Proper response: Allow the trial to work godliness in you

1 Pet 1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Checking my star for the day.

Today, being bored is possible, but only if you don't get your act together early enough in the day. You need to get involved in something before the afternoon, or you'll end up not being able to get involved in anything. If it looks like there's nothing going on, then look beneath the surface of the everyday stuff. Stuck in the same old meeting? Try asking some new questions. You have the power to add intrigue to your life -- you just have to try

I am now planning my life, taking one day at a time. Making sure I don't make any mistakes anymore like how I was before. but then again, I am a LEO, I am a risk taker. I live life to the fullest. Once I recover, I will definitely do what I have always love to do, travelling. :)

Finally

I was not able to update this blog or creat a new entry due to some...whatever that is. Feeling so sad. I don't get to blog about how I am feeling..what's been happening to me everyday..sharing my thoughts to my readers..sharing with them what is currently going on with my life.

My horoscope for today..

Keep yourself distracted today so you don't have to deal with unpleasant thoughts or unpleasant people. This might not be an acceptable solution for the long term, but for right now it's perfectly fine to stick your fingers in your ears and sing 'I can't hear you' when you're faced with realities you don't want to deal with. It's not about procrastination -- you know you have to deal with important things as soon as possible. But feel free to ignore annoyances.

God is always there to guide me on what I need to do everyday. Amen.

The 4th Mystery of Light - The Transfiguration

The Gospel reading for March 8, 2009 can be read from the bible, Mark 9:2-10. The story was about how Jesus appeared to His disciples Peter, James and John, before He was betrayed by Judas. This is how Jesus showed His disciples His transfiguration. We as Christians see Jesus as our Savior, our Ruler. He is the King. By showing His disciples His divinity, He wanted us to see that from what will happen He will rise from the dead, which tells us that He will just be doing this because this is God's will.
Just like the 1st reading, Genesis 22:1-2, 9a, 10-13, 15-18, where God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his only son, his only beloved son. Although the difference is, God stopped Abraham from sacrificing his son, but God didn't. It is through this event of Jesus sacrificing himself that we will all be receiving eternal salvation.

These 2 readings made me understood more of what I have been going through. The Bible tells us that whatever God commands us to do, we should do it, no questions asked. Whatever is written on the Bible, whether it won't have any good affect on us, we as Christians should follow it, obey it, do it. This is how we show our faith in Him. By Abraham following what God told him to do, God was pleased with Him and he said on verse 17,

"I will bless you abundantly and make your descendants as countless as the stars of the sky and the sands of the seashore; your descendants shall take possession of the gates of their enemies,"

The way I live now is one day at a time. Through His words. Sometimes when I try to understand what is happening to me, I just break down and cry. It is really hard when you are all alone in life and the only one you can confide to is Him. But then again, God does not expect us to understand. He expects us to obey His words. Just like when Eve was tempted by Satan, God commands them not to eat of that tree. Yet how Eve was tempted was, she will not die but will learn what is good and what is bad.
And yes, I will read and obey His words. I have been in this path for quite some time now and I don't intend to turn right or left. Happiness in this world is just temporary. We should remember that what is important is our transfiguration. Our inner beauty. What is really inside us. That is what we should take care of. Not the physical appearance. But how God sees us. Even if we hide from a lot of make ups, cosmetic surgeries, fancy clothes, cars, house, jewelries. God sees who we really are, and we will not be judged by how we look outside, but instead how we really are in the inside, our soul. Wouldn't it be better to fix our soul for eternity rather than fix our face which is all temporary. Which is longer, lifetime or eternity? Which would you chose, lifetime of happiness or eternity with God?

I chose the later..and I intend to live with it.

Checking out my star for today.

Bottomline is God made each of us unique and every single way. I just chose to be the best with what I have. Like an sms that I received before..it goes:

It's just like this, sometimes you are up at the very top, sometimes you are down at the very bottom. But whatever happens, God will always be with you..so be patient.

The closest to me, one year older than me. When we were young, we would go outside, play at the same time, eat at the same time. My brother saved me from all my troubles. He was always there whenever I am in need. Even when all we can do is just talk. He carries me up whenever I am down. He takes good care of me whenever I am sick or in need.
Kuya, I am just here whenever you need me. I hope that you understand what we are all going through right now. It is just a trial that we have to go through with God's will. Just like what you always tell all of us, this is just something that God puts us through to make us stronger to take the next level. Just like when we use to play PS2, it gets more difficult whenever we get to the next level. Always remember that I am just here. Still staying strong for all of us.
Thank you for being there to take care of all of us when Mama passed away. For taking the responsibility of being the head of the family. For that, I really thank you.

An SMS from someone

Honestly, I have been through a lot, these past couple of months and frankly...it's been "hell" for me. My only outlet was to cry and cry and feel sorry for myself. I even went as far as calling my mom just to hear me out, tell me what I need to do for me to get up and start moving, my mom usually know what to say, what are the right words to wake me up from feeling miserable.
While this is all happening to me. I also started reading books, inspirational books, books that will help me become a better person, both physically and spiritually.
And then it hit me...right in my face. I am not alone. I never was and never will be. I mean, besides the fact that I have friends who were there for me. My cousins and my siblings whose always there, my dad, although he is not talking that much, I know he cares for me. And most of all, I have God beside me always.. well, we all do.
Then I started reading the Bible, reading scriptures from the internet. I even went to Dating Daan Bible Exposition just to listen to the Scriptures. And it feels really great just listening to every word.
This is the way I live now, listening to every word he says, I know it is a bit weird but God gives us signs, hints everywhere. We just need to open our eyes/ears and understand what He wants us to do. We just need to understand that not all we ask is what we are going to get.
I remember this quote from the movie "Pursuit of Happyness" (no, it was not spelled wrong), it was a dialogue from Christopher.

"Hey dad, you wanna hear something funny? There was a man who was drowning, and a boat came, and the man on the boat said "Do you need help?" and the man said "God will save me". Then another boat came and he tried to help him, but he said "God will save me", then he drowned and went to Heaven. Then the man told God, "God, why didn't you save me?" and God said "I sent you two boats, you dummy!"

This story was really something. It was funny but it was very catching. All I can say is
THANK YOU GOD FOR ALL THESE.

I learned this from a friend of mine who I previously worked with. "Silent-coexistence". During my first few days at work. I tend to have some conflicts with my co-worker. Not really agreeing to their way of life at work. All the corruptions and illegalities. I learned from school to always voice out your concern so that you will be heard. But during my early days at work, I learned that it does not really work like that. Especially whenever the person you are not agreeing with is your boss. Just a quick advice..."KEEP IT TO YOURSELF". I learned that the more I rebel, the more I get into trouble, instead of being able to fix the issue, it tends to go back to me and it buried me deeper and deeper until I don't have any choice left.

And then I learned to keep my mouth shut. Just try to think of a better solution rather than rambling about what I don't want or whatever is happening that is not appealing to my beliefs.

And then I learned this from the Bible:

Deuteronomy 8:3 (New International Version)

3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.

This is one of the Bible verses that was discussed from last sunday mass. Since I had nothing to do for Sunday, I tried attending 2 masses just trying to find out what the 1st priest will discuss based from the Reading and what the 2nd priest will say.

The first priest went as far as telling the people there that Jesus was sent to the desert for 40 days and was being tempted by the devil. With this, he said that most of the people, especially husbands and wives go through this "desert". And there was a story of a woman who's husband cheated on her. She had been keeping this bottle of wine and she put it in her bag together with her clothes. Before she left, she told her husband that she will leave him for awhile to think of the consequence of what happened and that she needs time alone to think about it. When she got home, her dad talked to her telling her that she can talk to them about what happened. While she was thinking, she remembered what are the things they went through and decided to go back to her husband to talk. They discussed all the things they wanted and they went through. It changed their lives and they were able to overcome the consequences.

The 2nd priest also did this but discussed mostly of what has been happening around us. All the "desert" that we are going through, enviroment, family, things around us, work, trials. He said that temptation is all around us. And that we should always think of what Jesus went through with the devil and was able to overcome it even if he is already tired and hungry.

Through all these homilies, I wondered. What have I been through is not enough compared to what He went through. I still have a chance to improve myself spiritually. I may lose a lot of things in my life but 1 thing I know that will never fade from me, which is my faith in Him. I know that whatever trials I will go through will make me a stronger person. And always living in His words will keep me wanting to live and follow His words.

I Peter 5:8-9

8 Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

9 Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.

Someone who's always there..

I have lots of friends (and I am proud of that). And I am really thankful for each and every one of them.

For listening, despite my shortcomings.

For understanding, despite my imperfections.

For giving me courage, under any circumstances.

For just being there when I need them most.

For guiding me to go the right way.

For teaching me to do the noble way.

They are always there never judging.

Looking at my star for today..

You should accept any and all invitations as quickly as possible today -- don't give your more introverted side time to think up excuses for why you should stay home alone. It's essential for you to get as social as you can right now, even if you don't feel like it. Forcing yourself to interact with other people will build your confidence and help you get over any bad mood that's overtaken you. Things are looking up -- so you have to look up to see them!

-hmm..it seems that the stars are really aligning towards me. good news for me, Thank you God. :) It's time for me to go back to my hobby, which is going out of town and nature trippings. :)

This is what ever person who was just able to crawl up from being quite a mess, every person who just got out of a bad relationship, breakups, "redeployed", being stupid, trying hard, always falling down. We must always believe that God will not give us any test that he knows we can't handle. If you think you can't handle this, once you get through with this, you will encounter a more difficult one later on. He is just preparing us for what we call INEVITABLE.

So as long as you are still breathing, as long as you have strength to move on, remember "it's never too late to become the person you might have been."

My Horoscope for today:

Again, I am looking at my horoscope for today..here's what it says..
